Rules -
- Maximum 3 participants per team.
- Teams (max. upto 10) will be short-listed into the finals on
basis of synopsis.
- Specifications of the synopsis
- Maximum 3 page synopsis.
- Synopsis should include a schematic diagram and/or a block
diagram, which would clearly explain the functionality of
the design. These pages would not count towards the 3-page
limit.
- Synopsis should have 1.5 line spacing, with 1-inch margin
on all sides.
- The project should be accompanied with a write-up of max. 15
pages.
- This write-up should have 1.5 line spacing and 1-inch margin
on all sides.
- Each project will be judged on the following criteria
- Authenticity of the idea.
- Optimum utilisation of resources.
- Quality of assembly.
- Cost effectiveness.
- Real world application.
- The decision of the Judges and CSI Mumbai Chapter will be final.
- Basic add-ons (PC and power supply), will be provided.
- Other requirements for the presentation, should be informed
at the centre at least a week prior to the event. These will be
provided subject to their availability.
- In event of any requirements not being provided at the centre
(which will be notified), the participating team would have to
arrange for them by itself.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Soft Copy Submission :
- The soft copy (file) of synopsis can be submitted on an IBM
PC formatted diskette, or CD-ROM disk.
- The disk should be labeled by the author's name, title of the
project , date and the format/software used.
- Before sending, please virus-check it and disinfect any viruses
found.
- The file can also be emailed.
- File formats other than Document (*.DOC), Rich Text Format (*.RTF),
and Portable Document Format (*.PDF) (by increasing order of preference)
will not be accepted. The preferred format for electronic submission
is Portable Document Format (PDF) as it preserves the formatting
of a source document, regardless of the application and platform
used to create it. The Rich Text Format (RTF) is acceptable.
